LATE INTERMEDIATE PIANO SOLO
“Vaudvillium” is a character-driven Late Intermediate Piano Solo, drawn from Novellas, Book 1, blending jazz-inflected style with expressive storytelling. Ideal for recital programming or artistic study, this late intermediate work invites pianists to explore nuance, phrasing, and rhythmic flexibility within a refined, approachable framework.
Written in a relaxed jazz style with swing rhythm and marked Moderato, the piece features Dal Segno al Fine (D.S. al Fine) navigation and includes an optional B section, giving performers interpretive freedom and formal choice. Subtle syncopation, lyrical momentum, and understated harmonic color encourage expressive shaping and stylistic awareness.
With its flexible form and jazz-inspired language, Vaudvillium is an engaging selection for pianists ready to expand their stylistic range while maintaining clarity, balance, and musical intent.
