for two pianos

Scott Price’s Piano Concerto No. 1 is designed as a collaborative concert work for two pianists at different stages of development. Piano I is Early Intermediate, while Piano II is Late Intermediate, allowing the work to be performed by two students or as a traditional student-and-teacher pairing.

With both pianists playing an active musical role, the concerto develops ensemble coordination, rhythmic awareness, balance, and musical independence while giving developing performers the experience of a larger-scale concert work.

Two copies are required for performance.
