Jumping Goldfish – Late Int. Piano

LATE INTERMEDIATE PIANO SOLO

by Scott Price

Jumping Goldfish is a playful and expressive piano solo that captures the whimsical motion of goldfish darting and leaping through shimmering water. A lyrical melody shared between the hands, combined with triplets and syncopated pedal effects, gives the music a lively sense of movement and sparkle.

Set in B-flat major at a flowing Andante tempo, the piece incorporates double stems along with first and second endings, helping students strengthen rhythmic awareness, coordination, and control of recurring musical material.

With its colorful imagery and warm, engaging character, Jumping Goldfish is an appealing choice for recitals, festivals, studio performance, and Late Intermediate pianists developing stronger tone control, coordination, phrasing, and musical imagination.
