Half an Orange is a lively and engaging Elementary piano solo with playful lyrics and an optional teacher accompaniment. Shifting five-finger patterns, hand-over-hand motion, and contrasting legato and staccato articulation give the piece energy while keeping the technical demands approachable.
The melody is shared between the hands, helping students develop coordination and balance across the keyboard. Musical concepts include sharps, naturals, and triple meter, giving young pianists additional experience with reading, rhythm, and expressive control.
With its bright character and imaginative theme, Half an Orange is a fun choice for lessons, recitals, and studio performances, helping students build confidence, coordination, and musical expression.
Includes optional teacher accompaniment.
