Distances: 8 Solos Based on Intervals are experiments in seeing what could be done if a composer was limited to primarily one interval in each piece. At the early intermediate to intermediate levels in difficulty, the pieces explore technical challenges in balance, voicing, pedal, and various technical devices necessary to play each interval expressively.
