Songs of Bretagne is a five-movement suite for piano duo (2P/4H) written in a virtuosic, impressionist style. Spanning over 15 minutes of performance time, composer Charlie Plante — a gifted young talent with a unique musical voice — explores the full range of pianistic color and ensemble technique.
Bretagne, a region in northwest France, is known for its distinct Celtic identity and rich folklore. This suite presents three traditional tales from the region in a musical storybook format.
