Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy, Edited by Tom Gerou
Jean-Baptiste Duvernoy (French, c.1802–1880) was a Parisian pianist, composer, and teacher. About 1825 he began publishing several hundred easy piano pieces and a number of valuable piano studies. Relatively unknown today, he is remembered primarily for his 25 Elementary Studies, (École primaire), Opus 176 and The School of Mechanism, 15 Studies (École du mécanisme), Opus 120.
Minor editorial changes were made in this edition such as revised layouts, addressing duplicate or missing dynamics, suggested pedaling, and modifications to some slurs and fingering.
